Taylor Harris named TCCAA Baseball Player of the Week

MORRISTOWN, TN – Taylor Harris was voted Walters State's best hitter this fall, and he showed why this past weekend. 

Taking on No. 14 Gaston, Harris hit .500 and mashed three home runs in four games against the Rhinos. For that, Harris was named the TCCAA Baseball Player of the Week. 

Along with the three home runs, Harris has two doubles and three stolen bases. Two of Harris' home runs came on Saturday, as Harris led off both games with a homer. On Sunday in game one, Harris had three hits, a home run and scored three runs. 

Harris helped lead Walters State to three wins over Gaston and improved their record to 6-0-1 on the season. 

Harris and the Senators will be back in action this weekend at Chipola. Walters State will take on No.12 Chipola at 12 pm Friday and Southern Union State at 3 pm. The Senators will play both teams again on Saturday, at 11 am and 1:30 pm.
