Pantier named TCCAA Baseball Player of the Year, 8 Senators make All-TCCAA Teams
COLUMBIA, TN – Walters State's Holden Pantier was named the 2026 TCCAA Baseball Player of the Year on Thursday.
Along with Pantier, Drew Blalock, Hayden Blair, Major Osbolt and Tim Tyler were named to the All-TCCAA Baseball First Team. Kole Fenton, Miles Shore and Preston Allen were each selected to the All-TCCAA Baseball Second Team.
Pantier was named the TCCAA Baseball Player of the Year following a record-breaking sophomore season. Pantier finished the regular season with a .488 batting average, hit 22 home runs and drove in 103 runs. Pantier broke the Walters State record for doubles in a season with 28, and he finished with 100 hits on the season. He also had 16 stolen bases.
Pantier ranked first in the conference in batting average, hits, doubles, RBIs, runs with 86, total bases with 200 and slugging percentage, which stood at .976. Pantier was first in the country in hits and doubles and ranked third in the country in batting average and second in RBIs.
The first baseman on the All-TCCAA First Team, Blalock led the conference in home runs with 25, while also driving in 72 runs. Blalock had an .856 slugging percentage and walked 39 times on the season. He collected 69 hits and 155 total bases.
Behind the plate for Walters State, Blair hit 24 home runs and drove in 75 runs. Blair scored 74 runs, batted .408 and had a .568 OBP. Blair's slugging percentage was .961, and he walked 46 times. Defensively, Blair caught five runners stealing.
On the mound, Osbolt led the conference with a 4.13 ERA. Osbolt went 6-1 on the season and made 14 appearances. He threw 56.2 innings and struck out 81 batters. Osbolt had a 12.86 K/9 and clinched the TCCAA regular season championship for Walters State with six scoreless innings and 10 strikeouts against Cleveland State.
Voted the top relief pitcher in the conference, Tyler went 8-2 on the season and recorded two saves. Tyler pitched 45.2 innings and struck out 71 batters. He had a 5.32 ERA and finished with a K/9 of 13.99.
On Second Team, Fenton was dominant again in the field and at the plate. Fenton hit .405 on the season with eight home runs and 63 RBIs. Fenton doubled 24 times on the year and recorded 87 hits. Defensively, Fenton recorded 69 putouts and had 107 assists. Fenton turned 17 double plays.
Shore made All-TCCAA Second Team in the outfield after a phenomenal stretch in conference play. Shore hit .432 on the season and batted .530 in 28 conference games. Shore recorded a .610 OBP in TCCAA play. Shore drove in 37 runs and hit eight home runs on the season.
Allen was also selected to the All-TCCAA Second Team as a starting pitcher. Allen went a perfect 7-0 on the mound and struck out 79 batters in 45.2 innings. Allen recorded a 5.52 ERA, and opponents hit just .211 against him.
