16th-ranked Senators break school record for points in a game with 175-65 win over Experience Academy
MORRISTOWN, TN – No. 16 Walters State closed 2025 in a big way on Monday evening.
Taking on Experience Academy, the Senators scored 84 points in the first half and 91 in the second to break the school record for points in a game. Walters State took the win, 175-65.
With the victory, the Senators improved to 13-0 on the season. It's the most consecutive wins to start a season for Walters State since the Senators won 15 in a row in 2016-17.
In Monday's game, Walters State hit 20 3-pointers. Carter Webb hit seven of them, six of them in the second half, while Jamar Livingston threw in five. Taquez Butler hit four, as well.
Leading the team in scoring for the Senators was Webb with 25 points, while Butler added 20. Livingston scored 19, as well, and Brian Carter finished with 18. Other scorers for Walters State were Tyrese Stovall with 17, Da'Mori Lytch with 17, Caiden Bauldwin with 14, Jaquavious Wallace with 11, Jayden Nesbitt with 11, Trae Rideau with 10, Malaki Brooks with seven and Jaceion Coffey with six.
Butler was unstoppable for Walters State in the first half, scoring 18 points as Walters State broke out to an 84-30 lead at the half. Lytch added 11 points in the opening 20 minutes, and Carter had 10. Nesbitt and Brooks had seven points each, as well.
In the second half, the Senators continued to shoot the lights out. This time, it was Webb as he hit six 3-pointers and had 22 points. Meanwhile, Livingston hit all five of his 3-pointers in the final 20 minutes and had 17 points, and Stovall had 10 points. Carter and Bauldwin each added eight more points, and Wallace had seven points.
