DYERSBURG, TN – No. 21 Walters State picked up their second TCCAA sweep of the week on Saturday afternoon, defeating Dyersburg State 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-11).
With the win, the Lady Senators improved to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in TCCAA play.
Leading the way for Walters State was Veda Barton with 12 kills, two blocks and an ace while Trudi Aiken and Annah Cate Hyatt each had 15 assists and seven digs. Hyatt had five kills as well, while Aiken had an ace.
Other contributors for the Lady Senators were Payton Brown with eight digs and an ace, Isabelle Brickey with six kills and two aces, Lilabeth Jordan with three aces and five digs and Davanie Tarleton with six kills, three blocks and an ace.

Walters State will be back in action next weekend at Wallace State. The Lady Senators will play Itawamba Community College on Friday at 1 pm ET and Vincennes University at 5 pm ET.
