Lady Senators fall to Vincennes, Itawamba at Wallace State Fall Bash 

CULLMAN, AL – No. 23 Walters State fell twice on Friday evening at the Wallace State Fall Bash, dropping a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 26-24) contest to Vincennes University and a 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16) battle to Itawamba Community College.

With the losses, the Lady Senators fell to 7-6 on the season. 

Against Vincennes, the Lady Senators were led by Annah Cate Hyatt with seven kills, 13 assists and two aces while Veda Barton added seven kills, five blocks, six digs and two aces. Other contributors were Davanie Tarleton with six kills, two blocks and an ace, Payton Brown with 10 digs and an ace and Trudi Aiken with 11 assists and nine digs. 

In the loss to Itawamba, Hyatt had 17 digs to go with 21 assists and three aces. Brown had 13 digs as well, and Barton had 11 kills, 10 digs, two aces and two blocks. Other contributors for Walters State were Preslee Quertermous with 10 kills, Lilabeth Jordan with 10 digs and Tarleton with six kills and two blocks.
